Sarah, women’s strength and fitness coach at GL52 Fitness Cheltenham

Strength & fitness coaching in Cheltenham for women who want more than Personal Training.

If you’ve struggled to stay consistent with exercise, I know what that feels like. Maybe you feel intimidated by gym culture, or you’re tired of starting over every Monday.

You do not need to feel fit enough, confident enough or “ready” before asking for support. Most of the women I work with are simply looking for a calmer, more realistic way to build fitness into their life.

As a women’s strength and fitness coach based in Cheltenham, I help women build confidence, routine and strength through personalised Coaching and support.

Based in Cheltenham, working exclusively with women both in-person and online.

Female personal training and coaching in Cheltenham

Coaching with me is all about finding ways to exercise designed entirely around you.

For some women, that starts with learning strength training and how to lift weights confidently for the first time through personal training sessions in Cheltenham alongside support outside the gym. For others, it means having structure, accountability and guidance that helps exercise to finally feel less confusing and more consistent.

Many women come to FIKA after feeling overwhelmed by traditional gym culture or unsupported by previous experiences with personal trainers. My aim is to help give you the confidence and certainty that you can do this and, with support from me whether in Cheltenham or online, you’ll finally be able to forget about “starting again on Monday”.

There are many personal trainers in Cheltenham but training with me will feel different. I will take the time to get to know you, ensure you get the best out of someone helping you build a plan around your life, your confidence, your goals and your starting point…not somebody else’s.

Ultimately, this is all about finding an altogether calmer approach to fitness…after all, what’s the rush? Together, we’ll build a plan that feels like you, fits your day-to-day life and ultimately gives you the kind of strength and confidence that you’ve always been searching for.

Life is busy enough already. Fitness should make things feel simpler, not more overwhelming and there is no perfect starting point. Coaching looks different for everybody and I will help you work out what that should look like.

More than just personal training.

The women I work with are all starting from different places, with different bodies, goals, experiences and challenges.

Some are rebuilding confidence after years away from exercise. Some are navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery or menopause. Some want to improve bone density and build strength for long-term health. Some are managing injuries, aches or pain that have made fitness feel intimidating in the past. Strength training for women can be incredibly powerful across all stages of life.

Coaching with me is never about throwing generic workouts at you and hoping they stick.

It’s about understanding your body, your lifestyle and your starting point, then building strength and fitness in a way that feels supportive, realistic and sustainable long-term.

Women’s bodies are not all the same.

Women’s strength training adapted for different stages of life

Strength training is about far more than aesthetics or “getting toned”.

As women get older, we naturally begin to lose muscle mass and bone density, particularly through perimenopause and menopause. Progressive strength training helps support bone health, maintain muscle mass, improve confidence and keep women feeling physically capable long-term.

That does not mean punishing workouts or chasing perfection.

It means gradually building strength over time in a way that works with your body, your lifestyle and your stage of life.

For some women, that starts with learning how to lift weights confidently for the first time. For others, it’s building strength through pregnancy, supporting postpartum recovery, or feeling more physically resilient and capable through different stages of life.

The goal is not to train like an athlete. It’s to help you feel stronger, healthier and more confident in your body and your life.

That’s what makes strength training so powerful.

Every woman I work with is different, which means coaching is personalised around your goals, experience, lifestyle and stage of life.

Some women work with me through weekly personal training sessions in Cheltenham. Others combine gym sessions with structured programming, accountability and support outside the gym.

Because coaching is so individual, the way we work together will vary from person to person. But these are some of the ways I support clients..

What working together can include.

  • 1:1 personal training sessions in Cheltenham focused on building strength, confidence and long-term progress in a supportive environment.

  • Whether your goal is feeling stronger day-to-day, running your first 5k or improving performance in the gym, coaching is designed to help you progress gradually and sustainably over time.

  • Workouts and training plans are delivered through an easy-to-use coaching app, giving you structure, guidance and progress tracking between sessions. Programming is adapted around your goals, lifestyle and training experience.

  • Some women come to coaching with goals around weight loss, nutrition or improving their relationship with food and exercise. Support focuses on building realistic habits and long-term consistency rather than restrictive or all-or-nothing approaches.

  • Coaching can be adapted around pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause, injuries, stress, fatigue and changing routines. Strength training should support women through different stages of life, not work against them.

  • Coaching does not stop when the session ends. Depending on your coaching package, support may include accountability, regular check-ins, guidance and adjustments to help fitness feel more manageable in real life.

You might be wondering

A few quick answers to questions I get a lot – no fluff, just facts.

  • Absolutely not. Most women I work with do not arrive feeling confident, fit or “ready”. Coaching is designed around your current starting point, not where you think you should already be.

  • This is incredibly common. Many women start Coaching feeling intimidated by gyms, weights or not knowing what exercises to do. Part of Coaching is helping you gradually build confidence and familiarity over time so the gym starts to feel far less overwhelming.

  • Most women who come to me have. One of the biggest things we work on is building consistency in a way that actually fits around real life rather than relying on motivation or all-or-nothing routines.

  • "The progress I made over the months we trained together was surprising in the best way!"

    Roxy

  • I thoroughly enjoy our sessions. I've actually started looking forward to them! I feel much more confident in my capabilities."

    Hannah

  • "Starting a fitness journey is hard, but Sarah makes it easy. Her dedication to fitness, no matter their background is reflected in every session and aspect of her business."
